End of Term Letter |
Dear Parents and Carers, As we approach the end of term and the close of 2024, I would like to take this opportunity to send you my warmest festive wishes. I hope you and your loved ones enjoy a joyful, peaceful holiday season and that 2025 brings happiness and success to you all. This term has been a particularly busy and productive one, and you can read about just a snapshot of our activities and achievements in this festive newsletter. It's a positive and uplifting read to start the holidays, and it also contains key dates for the upcoming Spring term. Earlier today, our Deputy Principal, James Gordon, emailed students regarding their studies over the break. This is to help them prepare effectively for the new term and the year ahead. A link to that letter can be found here. We are looking forward to welcoming students back on Monday, 6th January, which is a change from our original plans. As you may be aware, further strike action is scheduled for 7th, 8th, and 9th January. I want to express my gratitude for the support we have received during this challenging time, while also acknowledging the concerns regarding the disruption and its impact on students. The College will remain open on all strike days. Lessons will take place where teachers are not participating in the strike, and additional study spaces will be available across the campus to support students working onsite. While this does not fully mitigate the impact of the industrial action, we are doing everything possible to minimise disruption. Please continue to check your emails regularly, as I will communicate any updates or changes to the situation promptly. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. Wishing you a restful and enjoyable holiday season, and we look forward to seeing students in the new year. Warm regards, Donna-Marie Janson |
