University Information Evening, Tuesday 24 March
6.00pm - 8.00pm at Varndean Sixth Form College (directions)
We are delighted to invite parents, carers or guardians of Year 1 students to Varndean Sixth Form College for our University Information Evening.
This event is designed to help you confidently support your young person through the university application process. You will gain clear, practical guidance on the university application process and what families can do to support students at each stage.
During the evening you will learn about:
- The UCAS application process
- Choosing the right course and University
- Importance of University Open Days
- The application timeline for Year 1 students
- Student Finance
- In addition, optional talks will be delivered (listed on the RSVP form). These include applying to competitive universities, the Foundation Art course and if your young person is on the Aspire programme, information on the Oxbridge application process
- Q&A session with Cordelia

Please note this event is for parents, carers & guardians only, as the information will be covered with students during their tutorial sessions.
