Updates to Parents Evening - Important Information

Subject: Updates to Parents Evening - Important Information

Dear Parents, and Carers,

I hope you have had the opportunity to review the report cards published last week. Over the coming weeks, students will reflect on these reports and use the feedback to develop action plans to support their progress.

As a reminder, report cards and parent consultations are just two features available via our Parent Portal. If you still need to register for access, please follow the instructions provided here.

Changes to Parents Consultation Evening - Wednesday 4th December

Due to the proposed Industrial Action planned for NEU members on Wednesday 4th December, we regret to inform you that the parents/carers consultation evening originally scheduled for that date will not take place.

Instead, we will be hosting a revised consultation evening on Thursday 12th December. To ensure that teaching staff can focus on prioritised conversations, this evening will be dedicated to parents/carers of students who received a Requires Improvement or Cause for Action on their report cards.

What You Need to Know:

  • Appointment Booking: All current appointments will be cancelled, and the booking system will be refreshed on Wednesday 27th November 2024. Parents/carers who meet the eligibility criteria will then need to rebook their appointments.
  • Booking Opens: Bookings will open at 9 am on Thursday 28th November. Instructions for booking can be found here.
  • Event Details: The consultation evening will take place online via Google Meet, running from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Appointments are 10 minutes per academic subject.

We apologise for any inconvenience these changes may cause and appreciate your understanding. If you are not eligible for a booking slot this time, then the Parent Portal provides you with information on your young person's progress and is 'live'. You will be able to see report cards, targets and teacher comments.

Our aim is to provide a meaningful opportunity for you to discuss your child's academic progress and reflect on the start of the academic year. Should you experience any technical difficulties, please contact our IT Support team here, and we will be happy to assist.

Thank you for your continued support.
