University Information Evening for Parent, Carer or Guardian

Tuesday 25 March 2025 6.00pm - 8.00pm

We are delighted to invite you to Varndean College for our University Information Evening for parents, carers or guardians. The aim of the evening is to provide an insight into the support students receive at college when considering university and to provide you with the information you need so you can best support them through the process if they want help at home.

You will hear talks on the university application process, how to choose a subject and select universities, the importance of attending open events and the application timeline. University of Brighton will give a talk on Student Finance and all things related to funding and financing university study.

After the two main talks, parents will be able to select one further activity if they would like to from the list below:-

• The 1 Year post A level Art Foundation course - Room 26
• Oxbridge applications - room TBC
• General Q&A with Cordelia - remain in Hall

This event is for parents/carers only, as the material covered will be presented to students in their tutorial sessions. Information from the evening will be available after the event on the Varndean College website under the 'Careers' tab/Parents.
