University of Brighton Summer Schools - Applications now open!
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are pleased to announce that applications for the University of Brighton Summer Schools in 2019 are now open!
University of Brighton Summer Schools – July/August 2019
Our summer schools programme offers year 12 students the chance to experience what it’s like to study a subject they love at University. We offer two types of summer school:
  •          Residentials – in Humanities, STEM, Healthcare, Social Sciences and Sports. These are week long programmes with a wide variety of activities, giving students the opportunity to try out a variety of sessions in a subject area (and often help them make decisions about course choices). Students stay on site in our halls of residence, with social activities in the evenings.
  •          Non-residentials – in Photography and Fashion. These are week long courses designed to help students develop new skills, working on a project over the week that they can add to their portfolio. These are held at our central Brighton campus, so students will need to make their own way to site each morning.
Eligibility: all year 12 students are welcome to apply, but students meeting Widening Participation criteria will be prioritised for places.
Cost: There is no cost to participate in any summer school. All activities and meals while with us are covered, plus accommodation, (we can also help with travel costs if students are eligible).
For more information and to apply online please visit: The deadline for applications is 31st March 2019.
